Job Title: Senior Associate, Loan Operations

Locations: Union, NJ (Hybrid), New York, NY (Hybrid), Boston, MA (Hybrid), Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

About The Role

SS&C is looking for a Senior Associate to join our Loan Operations team.The candidate is responsible for monitoring and resolving cash and position discrepancies between the bank and agent banks for some of our largest loan clients. This includes performing root cause analysis, KPI reporting and coordinating break resolution with all parties.The ideal candidate will have experience in the Loan asset class as well as oversight and implementation of best reconciliation practices.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support the settlement process of primary loan syndications and secondary loan trades, including funding and documentation matters

  • Significant interaction with senior management, SS&C GlobeOp clients, their trading counterparties, agent banks, custodians, trustees and other SS&C GlobeOp departments (i.e.: fund accounting, operations, OTC operations and OTC Pricing) relative to loan settlements

  • Investigate and resolve closing and transactional issues in a timely manner

  • Participate in the daily/weekly preparation and review of reports, metrics provided to our clients, senior managers to highlight status of trades and risks

  • Train and mentor junior staff

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related discipline

  • 2+ years financial services/securities industry managerial experience in operations and or loan operations. Working for either a prime broker, administrator or hedge fund

  • Understanding of syndicated loans; including trade closings - LSTA market settlement conventions. Credit Agreements and their operational mechanics, i.e. funds flows, ticking fees, paydown, drawdowns as well as their interrelationship with agent bank, trading counterparties, custodians and trustee
