seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a mission-focused organization by supporting Department of Education applications and stakeholders through a comprehensive suite of data collection and reporting tools.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our DevOps initiatives and delivering secure, high-quality technical solutions for our customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance development practices, automate CI/CD pipelines, and support enterprise applications that manage substantial data volumes.ย 

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing scalable DevOps processes to support the development and deployment of enterprise-level applications.
  • Leading automation, CI/CD, and cloud technology initiatives, including centralizing code repositories using GitHub or Azure DevOps to streamline development workflows.
  • Evaluating and improving coding standards by integrating automated code scanning tools to maintain high levels of code quality, security, and compliance.
  • Proactively identifying, managing, and reducing technical debt while driving continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Optimizing code branching, merging, and release management processes to ensure efficient, reliable, and seamless deployments.
  • Automating build and deployment workflows to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Enhancing unit testing and integration testing coverage to ensure application reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Demonstrating strong proficiency in .NET Core while applying structured, pattern-based development practices to implement complex business logic and enterprise solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess experience and expertise in the following areas:

  • Strong development experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and .NET Core.
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices, including secure coding techniques, static code analysis, data protection, encryption, and application security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipeline implementation and management.
  • Experience with automated testing, documentation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and deployment gating strategies.
  • Strong T-SQL programming skills and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL).
  • Experience using code quality and security scanning tools to improve application quality and maintain compliance.
  • Strong understanding of code branching strategies, merge processes, release management, and deployment optimization.
