Our company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining QA checklists, strategies, and procedures. They will conduct functional and regression testing of applications according to test plans and document results. The QA Tester will communicate defects to the project team and in a bug tracking system (preferably JIRA) and validate fixes. They will also verify end-products against designs (screen mock-ups and business requirements) and conduct Section 508 (accessibility) compliance testing, document results, and suggest fixes.


Responsibilities:

Develop, document, and maintain QA checklists, strategies and procedures

Conduct functional and regression testing of applications according to test plans and document results

Communicate defects to the project team and in a bug tracking system (Preferably JIRA)

Validate fixes

Verify end-products against designs (screen mock-ups and business requirements)

Conduct Section 508 (accessibility) compliance testing, document results, suggest fixes

Keep current with industry standards and best practices and apply to the job

Communicate professionally, confidently and effectively with managers, peers, and clients

Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional project team

Must be a self-starter and team player

Other testing responsibilities as assigned

Must submit to and pass a government agency background check Knowledge of Section 508 (accessibility) requirements Experience using accessibility techniques/tools such as screen readers (NVDA, JAWS etc.) and tools like ANDI Trusted Tester certification preferred Excellent communications skills, ability to collaborate and closely work with others on the team and government representatives Experience testing content management systems (such as MS Azure, SiteCore, AWS). Qualifications: Three to five years of experience in software testing and quality assurance Three to five years of experience developing and executing software test plans and documenting results Three to five years of experience reading technical/software specifications Three to five years of experience in testing for Accessibility/Section 508/WCAG
