Responsibilities

  • Perform daily machine change overs, as required by production.
  • Fabricate, modify, build and re-build machinery and equipment parts and molds to ensure proper and efficient operation.
  • Operate small equipment (forklifts and man lifts).
  • Inventory assistnace. 
  • Work with Engineering on machinery and equipment issues.
  • Special projects as required.
  • Perform and document machine and equipment Preventive Maintenance.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing and facility maintenance, as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • PLC knowledge – hands-on experience with PLC a must and troubleshooting ability using software.
  • Electrical knowledge – 480-volt AC, 3 phase experience, plus 120-volt AC experience, plus 24-volt AC/DC. experience, and use of digital volt meter.
  • Manufacturing electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Pneumatic controls and actuator experience.
  • Servo experience (this is more exposure and understanding, more intricate knowledge is definitely a bonus).
  • Familiar and ability to use basic shop and hand tool equipment, i.e., drills, bandsaws, grinders – (milling machine and lathe are a plus).
  • Welding experience is a bonus.
