Job description

The National Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing nationwide sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve organizational objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement national sales plans that align with company growth objectives.
  • Establish sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics across multiple regions and territories.
  • Monitor sales performance and develop action plans to address opportunities and challenges.
  • Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform sales strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, market expansion, and account development.
  • Develops marketing suggestions to maximize occupancy and average rate during low seasonal periods
  • Perform duties associated with business development. Develop, pursue and follow-through with business leads.
  • Determine client needs and possible objections; provide persuasive arguments to close the sale. Negotiate rates to maximize revenues.
  • Develop positive working relationships with existing clients by anticipating needs and acting promptly to rectify any problems.
  • Practice effective revenue/yield management to include wise negotiation and booking function space, focused solicitation during soft occupancy periods and effective rate and price negotiation.
  • Consults with representatives of client group or organization to plan details such as number of persons expected, display space desired, and food service schedule. Have a comprehensive understanding of the property and its offerings.
  • Maintain accurate and proper handling/records of catering and reservations books.
  • Directs Banquets & Catering Department in client needs for preparing banquet and convention rooms and erecting displays and exhibits.
  • Inspects rooms and displays for conformance to needs and desires of group.
  • Arranges attendance at industry trade shows, special functions, meetings with clients, site visits and performs other duties to promote good will.
  • Ensures meeting planner satisfaction and intervenes to assist in the case of any opportunities.
  • Prepares and sends Email Blasts with past contacts and Sales Lists.
  • Communication property wide about incoming groups- Resume Meetings, Special Instructions
  • Communication with Group Managers/Leaders on Group Pick-up/Progress
  • Welcoming Client on onset of Event in meeting space and send welcome gift to sleeping room on arrival.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; and/or combination of education & experience. Minimum 4 years Las Vegas Hotel Sales Management Experience. Must be able to travel. Proficient in all computer programs. Knowledge of Delphi and SMS a plus. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals. Experience managing business development or account management teams. Work is typically performed in an office environment and requires travel. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prolonged sitting/standing. Bending and reaching.
