Job description

Restaurant Server - PM

Salary Range:
$68,000.00 To 70,000.00 Annually
This is for a PM shift starting as early as 2:30 pm.
Position Summary: To work within the framework of a quality Food and Beverage service team. To serve food to our guests in a personable, courteous, and professional manner ensuring a positive dining experience. Impeccable grooming standards are essential.
This position is not strictly a server role, and will be required at times to cover the host and food runner roles as well.
Responsibilities include:
  • Being thoroughly familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette and adhering to these standards throughout our guests' dining experience.
  • Knowledge of all liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to service a five-table station during typical service demand.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the Micros POS system and other check processing procedures for dining room service.
  • Able to help other employees with their questions and process discounts while still maintaining their assigned section.
  • Know all menu items including ingredients, preparation, required condiments, key descriptors, and potential allergies.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently take orders from guests and expedite as soon as prepared from the kitchen (keep constant watch over “ticket times”).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the kitchen line and management staff.
  • Complete end of service procedures.
  • Complete closing paperwork; check the accuracy of all discounts and comps, make sure appropriate information is filled out and signatures are obtained.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions.

Specific job knowledge, skill, and ability:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Previous food and beverage experience required.
  • Good physical condition in order to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for a prolonged period of time.
  • A sincere desire to provide the utmost in guest service.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Pleasant personality to effectively deal with guests' questions and service, and to contribute to the overall atmosphere and guest experience.
  • Good teamwork with fellow employees. Strong attention to detail a must.
  • Well-groomed appearance according to company standards.
  • Must adhere to practices of occupational safety and health including wearing personal protective equipment when required.
Appearance Requirements:
  • Proper professional attire required by following appearance guidelines as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Part of Uniform will be provided by the company.
  • Appearance must always be neat, clean, and professional.
County Legal Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Yavapai County Health Dept. Food Handlers card to be kept on file.
  • Must have completed County amp; State Liquor training.
