Seasonal Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

This position is for a Seasonal Travel RN in Labor & Delivery. The unit has 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 3 ORs. The night shift has a staff matrix of 8-10. Typically, the day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters. The night shift usually has 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, and 1 CST. Patient ratios are 2:1, and 1:1 for complicated patients. Candidates must possess essential skills to be considered for the role. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating all nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients, and high-risk antepartum patients. Staff members will perform procedures such as vaginal deliveries and c-sections. The best personality fit for this unit includes being flexible, friendly, and dependable. This opportunity provides exposure to various types of equipment including FHR monitors and fetal scalp electrodes. Candidates with Mom/Baby, Pediatrics, and/or NICU experience are preferred.
