Job description

Job Description:
Job Summary:
Performs various production control activities including gathering and filing records; reporting on use of materials and inventory control; entering purchase orders and expediting supply chain products; monitoring customer orders; posting production schedules; and calculating production rates.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apply laws, rules, regulations, departmental policies and procedures regarding assembly
  • and common practice procedures.
  • Monitor production control email for requests.
  • Create work orders for requests.
  • Enter purchase orders accurately and timely.
  • File old purchase orders daily.
  • Troubleshoot supply chain and scheduling problems and see they are resolved quickly.
  • Recognize opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action proactively.
  • Organize and complete daily task requirements.
  • Occasionally meet with internal team members, suppliers and or customers.
  • Work with sales and production to meet customer expectations.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good decision making and problem solving.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrate initiative and follow through.
  • Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced work environment.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to climb and stoop.
  • Ability to sit or stand for the majority of work schedule.
  • Requires periodic visits to manufacturing facility with exposure to seasonal hot/cold temperatures, dust, loud noise, and chemical fumes.
