Seasonal Part-Time 2 shifts per week

Location: Temple, TX.

What we need:

We’re currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; The #1 one city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement!  Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. 

Why Medical Telemetry?

Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit offers you with ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Our Medical Telemetry unit also offers:

·       Highly engaged team

We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:

·       Sepsis

·       Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress

·       Chest Pain

·       Infection

·       Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms

·       Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs

·       Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.

·       Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance

·       Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring

·       GI abnormalities

·       Trach care

·       Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:

·       Graduate of RN School of Nursing

·       ADN required

·       Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Qualifications

  • A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the field of nursing
  • A valid Registered Nurse license
  • The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
