Job description

Responsibilities
  • Answer client calls and promptly return and follow up on all interactions; respond to internal and external requests for information.
  • Prepare charges for offshore operations and address queries.
  • Complete chargers and resolve charge and payment inquiries for off‑shore vendors.
  • Prepare, assign and reconcile batches; maintain ongoing communication and review discrepancy processes.
  • Review source codes and tally Hash totals.
  • Map ICD‑9, CPT, and modifiers as needed.
  • Create claim edit reports for charge entries.
  • Reconcile imputed payment postings and balance batch reports.
  • Prep charges for IHS, indicate required modifiers on CPT codes, notate handwritten diagnosis/procedure codes, and return any charges needing clarification to the doctor’s office.
  • Validate, verify, clarify or correct questions from IHS, then close the batch.
  • Import or enter charges and post payments for clients not placed with IHS.
  • Handle claim rejections for clients not with IHS and oversee claim rejections processed by IHS for clients placed with them, making necessary corrections.
  • Spot audit charge and payment batches completed by IHS to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures related to the position, department, and company.
  • Achieve supervisor‑set goals for error‑free work, transaction accuracy, process compliance, and overall performance.
