Position Description
Seasonal Golf Course Positions at Inver Wood Golf Course:
The following positions are seasonal, and may last from April thru October.
Hours will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Actual job duties may include tasks in addition to those listed below.
Essential Job Functions
STARTER: $12.58-$19.96 per hour
-20 to 40 hours per week
-Facilitate golfers getting onto the golf course without delay according to schedule of the day.
-Coordinate with golf shop and ranger in order to ensure that golfers play without undue delay.
-Check golfers to ensure that all have appropriate green fee and cart fee tickets.
-Explain to golfers the importance of keeping pace as they play.
RANGER: $12.58-$19.96 per hour
-20 to 40 hours per week
-Patrol the golf course to ensure that the pace of play is appropriate and course regulations are complied with.
-Check green fee tickets of all golfers.
-Report any accidents and/or emergencies to the golf shop immediately.
OUTSIDE SERVICES: $12.58-$19.96 per hour
-20 to 30 hours per week
-Clean golf cars on a daily basis.
-Report any damage or necessary repairs to the golf shop.
-General cleaning of the clubhouse area each evening.
-Pick-up golf balls from the range as scheduled.
-Properly clean and re-basket range balls.
-Keep entire range area and range ball building clean and well-organized.
GOLF CONCESSIONAIRE:$13.67-$21.05 per hour
-20 to 40 hours per week
-Meet and greet golfers at Inver Wood, creating an atmosphere of friendliness and service.
-Manage counter, operate cash register, coordinate tee time reservations, sell green fees, answer telephones, rent golf cars, sell merchandise, etc.
-Keep work area neat, clean and organized at all times. Restock merchandise, range balls and other materials as necessary.
Qualifications
Must possess the physical ability to perform the functions of the position and ability to accept risks associated with utilizing equipment and/or exposure to the elements. Minimum qualifications vary by position.

The City provides Paid Time Off (PTO) as required to comply with Minnesota's Earned Sick and Safe Time law. City employees are also required to participate in the Minnesota Public Employment Retirement Association (PERA), unless otherwise exempted. No other City benefits are provided unless mandated.
