Job description


Assist the Director of Ringhaver Student Center in with providing event and operation services at the Student Center
Responsibilities
Event Services
  • Event technology set up/ tear down
  • Event furniture set up/ tear down
  • On-site assistance during events including troubleshooting technology, adjusting technology, hosting, adjusting event furniture, taking attendance, and oversight

Information Desk Services
  • Providing campus event information to customers
  • Providing general campus information to customers
  • Checking out video game controllers
  • Checking out group study room

Building and Lounge Services
  • Stocking lounge equipment and counting attendance in lounges
  • Patrolling building to report building and safety issues that need to be addressed
  • Troubleshooting technology issues in the lounges
  • Rearranging lounge furniture
  • Submitting electronic shift report
  • Opening tasks, including unlocking rooms, turning on lights, and putting out equipment into its proper location in the lounges
  • Closing tasks, including locking rooms, turning off equipment, room schedule sheet changing, and putting away equipment

Inventory
  • Preparing lounge items and event items for storage
  • Moving lounge items and event items into the correct location within storage areas

Qualifications
Must be a full-time Flagler College student
Previous work or volunteer experience that involved events
Previous work or volunteering experience that involved talking to customers in person
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to push carts full of equipment
  • Walking or standing during events can last as long as 1 hour
  • Some shifts include working outside events
