Job description

Responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve, including the management of new product development. Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Client Details Our client is a leading global cosmetics packaging manufacturer Description · Review initial customer briefs with sales and our factories to ensure the projects are properly quoted and designed · Develop and track project timelines · Review initial and detailed product designs and drawings, material selection, compliance with costing · Identify new vendors for purchased parts · Analyze tooling qualification data and samples · Review customer artwork and die lines, and work with the factories and customers to resolve technical issues or concerns, provide troubleshooting and problem solving as needed.

· Interface with sales and factories, collaborate with a customer daily and act as the technical liaison for all 3 groups · Clearly communicate complex technical items or issues to non-technical people in a concise manner · Follow up with external and internal teams · Receive, review, and submit samples · Monitor compliance toward applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications · Perform overall quality control of the project (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status · Maintain project documentation · Occasional travel to company factories and customers is required. The necessary travel can be over weekends and holidays. Profile * Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required * 5 - 10 years of experience in the cosmetics industry involved in either package development or packaging engineering.

* Experience working with MS Project and MS office applications. Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Pro-E is a plus * Experience working on both the customer side (Cosmetic companies like L'Oreal, Estee Lauder etc..) and the supplier side (Companies that manufacture packaging) is preferred. * Candidates should have prior technical experience with the commodities that we produce (Mascara, Lip-gloss, Lipstick, Nail Enamel packages, compacts, IBM and ISBM bottles, skin care jars and closures) Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $90000 to $120000.
