Job description

Company Description

Comoto is built on the foundation of providing extraordinary experiences for customers in our stores, on our websites and at events. We can't do that without an energetic team of hard-working individuals on the ground at rallies.  We stay at the top of our game by testing new ideas, introducing new technology, constantly improving our processes, and hiring a team of enthusiastic individuals to ensure our customers have a great shopping experience while they visit us. Our 2024 Seasonal Event Associates will be people who love the thrill of a fast-paced, high-energy environment, while taking part in the largest motorcycle rally in the world.

Job Description

The 86th Annual Sturgis Rally is almost here and we're looking for crew members to support J&P Cycles right in the middle of the action on Lazelle St.
Every epic rally needs an engine to keep it running, and our event support team is exactly that. As a Seasonal Events Associate for J&P Cycles at the 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, you'll be the backbone of the action from start to finish. From keeping the energy high to ensuring a seamless, top-notch experience for thousands of riders, your dedication will define this year's event. If you want to be right in the middle of the world's most iconic motorcycle rally, this is your ticket in.

Our Seasonal Events Associates Will:

  • Master the Motorcycle Maze: Become the parking pro, guiding riders to their perfect spot.
  • Fuel the Good Times: Ensure our coolers stay fully iced up and well stocked.
  • Keep the Party Clean: Be a cleanliness champion and keep the rally grounds spotless, emptying trash receptacles as needed.
  • Chip In: be willing to lend a helping hand as needed in any other areas that could use your support. We are a team that believes there's no job too small and we're all in it together; being a seasonal associate means you'll uphold that mentality as well.
  • Be Where the Action Is: This is an outdoor position that will keep you on your feet all day and expose you to the elements. If you've been to Sturgis, you know that the weather can be unpredictable. You'll be someone who doesn't let the weather impact your ability to keep the energy high.

No Experience Needed: Your love for bikes is your ticket to adventure! We'll teach you everything you'll need to know.
Perks & Benefits: $18.00/hr (with overtime for hours worked over 40) plus free lunch & dinner. You'll also have access to our generous employee discount during your time working with us!
Schedule: Must be able to work every day of the rally from August 5th - August 15th, 9:00am-6:00pm.
**Must Be Over The Age of 18
*** J&P Cycles does not offer housing or a housing-allowance for this position

Qualifications

We Need Associates With:

  • Enthusiasm, Enthusiasm, Enthusiasm!
  • The ability to clearly communicate and vocalize instructions. Can your voice carry? We'll need you to be able to consistently shout over the loud pipes of bikes with equally loud crowd noise.
  • Availability to work all days and hours of the event: August 5th - August 15th, 9:00am-6:00pm.
  • A willingness to represent J&P Cycles in a manner consistent with our Core Values.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand and/or walk for prolonged period of time; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.  The team member will be required to work outdoors with exposure to weather conditions, which may include bright sunlight, heat, cold, rain, or cloud cover.  The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
