Job description

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist (Heavy Manufacturing)

At Engtal’s partner coil coating facility in Fairland, IN, uptime is everything. Your mission: protect throughput, safeguard people and equipment, and keep utilities stable during the overnight window when production depends on you most.

What Success Looks Like

It’s 2:13 AM. A conveyor stalls and a motor starter trips. You arrive with a meter and a plan—verify power, check control circuits, swap a failed sensor, and bring the line back safely. Before you move on, you log the repair in the CMMS, schedule a follow-up PM, and brief operations on what to watch for. That’s the standard.

Your Mission-Critical Work
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing assets
  • Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, controls, sensors, and industrial wiring
  • Service gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, couplings, pumps, and other rotating equipment
  • Identify and fix hydraulic and pneumatic faults
  • Maintain plant utilities—boilers, evaporators, wastewater treatment equipment, and compressed air
  • Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
  • Accurately record all work in the CMMS
  • Operate to OSHA standards with strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) discipline
