99 Ranch Market - Sacramento store is now hiring Seafood Supervisor!

Job Duties:
  • Display - Set up fresh seafood cases and ensure products have proper signage and are well-merchandised following company standards; showcase quality and freshness to drive sales in the department.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance - Keep aisles and common walking areas clean/cleared of boxes and debris to prevent injury.
  • Replenish - Unload and break down deliveries. Refill products to meet customer needs and rotate for freshness.
  • Processing - Skin, clean, and cut fish upon customers’ request. Frying and/or steaming seafood products upon request by using the fryer and steamer.
  • Change fryer oil and clean fryer and steamer on a daily basis.
  • Logs - Use equipment appropriately and keep accurate logs in accordance with all company policies and state food safety and health regulations.
  • Stock - Stock, ship and distribute product items to production teams.
  • Follow the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method. Monitor the cooler/freezer temperature to ensure that company standards and required regulations are followed.
  • Customer Service - Proactively reach out to customers. Provide excellent service to customers.
  • PI Count - Work with other team members to conduct monthly inventory count.
  • Fish Tank Maintenance - Clean seafood tanks and change appliances on a regular basis to maintain freshness and quality of products, and maintain the cleanliness of seafood tanks.
  • Cleaning - Follow the company policy to clean the walk-in cooler and freezer, clean and sanitize display cases, scales and counters in a safe manner, and maintain work areas clean.
  • Quality Control - Inspect quality of seafood products and remove any unmarketable items to keep the overall appeal of the department.
  • Sales - Cut, wrap, pack the items at the customer's request accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as for business needs.

Minimum Requirement:
  • Previous seafood department experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general seafood product lines or similar experience.
  • Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules.

Skills Requirement:
  • Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and other company policies.
  • Ability to inspect and evaluate the quality of products.
  • Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.

Physical Demands:
  • Standing for extended periods is commonly required.
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of processing equipment such as cutter or labeling.
  • Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment.
  • Able to work occasionally with environment temperatures ranging from 32º to 50°F.
