Job description

The Quality Control Technician will focus on pre-op inspection prior to start of production. Responsible for implementing the company's quality programs.  Responsible to conduct QA audits within the manufacturing facility and ensure GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, CCP compliance.  Evaluate finished goods to customer specifications regarding quality and safety.  Responsible for monitoring production processes assembling, packaging, and labeling.  Maintain documents for HACCP.

Duties:  Perform pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment, employees and processes.  Inspect incoming ingredients including packaging materials.  Adherence to SOPs and specifications.  Monitor, record, and verify HACCP documents.  Perform GMP, SSOP audits and establish corrective actions.  Conduct and facilitate daily sanitation, chemical and quality audit check lists.  Perform temperature measurement and monitoring.  Maintain accurate and up to date records.  Conduct Quality inspection.  Perform or assist with additional duties as assigned by QA Manager.  

Qualifications:  Reliability and punctuality.  Experience as a Quality Technician at a food processing facility.  Must not be food allergen sensitive to Seafood/Shellfish.  Able to comply with safety, quality, Good Manufacturing, and other required policies and procedures.  Good Communication skills.  Must be available to work some overtime as needed.  Ability to work independently or in a group setting.  Able to navigate basic office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Physical Requirements:  Food production environment, wet and noisy.  Standing/Walking on the production floor and navigating around the plant.  Must be able to effectively communicate.  Determine quality of product.  As needed on the production floor, able to lift up to 50 pounds.  50/50 office and floor work.

Day Shift:  Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:30pm
