Motor City Seafood Company is a leading seafood distributor, committed to delivering high-quality seafood products to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport seafood products to our customers' designated locations within the specified timeframe.
  • Plan and organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and adherence to food safety guidelines.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders with customers before delivery and collect payments, if necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor during interactions with customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating any complex issues to the appropriate department.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or accidents to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations and safety standards to ensure the well-being of oneself and others on the road.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate order picking and loading of delivery vehicles.

Work Schedule

The Delivery Driver is a full-time position. Weekend hours may be required as schedule demands.

Pay & Benefits

  • $150 daily pay based on qualifications and experience.
  • Performance based pay raises.
  • Paid Sick Time after 90 days.

Required Qualifications

  • Eighteen years of age or older, with valid ID proving legal work status.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Valid driver's/chauffeur's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local traffic rules and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of accurately verifying orders and collecting payments.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy boxes or containers as necessary.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and route optimization software.
