Job description

McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates Seacoast

McLeod Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates Seacoast, located at the McLeod Cancer Center for Treatment and Research in Little River, South Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, outpatient oncology and hematology setting alongside an established team of physicians and clinical support staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care, including follow-up visits, new patient evaluations, and ongoing management of complex conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physicians Dr. Donny Huynh and Dr. Kerolos Rizk in a busy, patient-focused practice.
  • Team Composition: Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes 2 physicians (with additional recruitment underway), 1 Nurse Practitioner, medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, nurse educators, nurse navigators, and clinical support staff.
  • Work Schedule:
    • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Friday: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Patient Mix:
    • Hematology: ~75% & Oncology: ~25%
  • Daily Patient Volume: 16–25 patients per day in a fully outpatient setting (100% outpatient).
  • Participate in a structured onboarding program including McLeod provider orientation, Epic training, and physician shadowing (2–4 weeks total).
  • Call Schedule: Occasional call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of oncology and/or hematology experience required. OCN certification preferred but not required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient oncology setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based care with a focus on patient satisfaction.
