Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
This position acts as relationship manager for a select group of Global Banking clients within a specific target market and ensure every client has a positive experience. Meets and exceeds goals by developing new relationships and effectively engaging in conversations with both prospect and existing clients’ prospects that would allow them to understand the client’s needs and to find potential solutions within Seacoast Banks products and services including the generation of deposits, treasury management revenue, other non-interest income and cross selling of wealth management, residential and commercial lending. Maintains operational policy and procedures and gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Relationship Building: 

  • Exhibit consistent relationship building including, but not limited to:
  • Provide Seacoast Global Clients with integrated solutions using a wide range of products and services (including investments, trust, banking, wealth transfer and lending)
  • Proven ability to create and enhance relationships based on customer needs.
    • Ask for referrals from new and existing customers.
    • Exhibit good listening skills and speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Responsible for engaging in aggressive business development (to include prospecting, development of external and internal referral sources, use of personal and professional contacts) to deliver significant results.
  • Provide Seacoast Global Clients with integrated solutions using a wide range of products and services (including investments, trust, banking, wealth transfer and lending)
  • Client Education: Educate clients on compliance requirements and ensure they understand the importance of adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and provide personalized financial advice while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Operations:

  • Responsible for Client Onboarding and Due Diligence: Conduct thorough KYC and CIP checks during the client onboarding process. Verify the identity of clients and assess the risk associated with their financial transactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with BSA, AML, and other relevant regulations to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illegal activities. Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary measures to meet compliance standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze and evaluate client profiles to determine the risk level of each account. Implement appropriate risk-based measures to monitor and mitigate potential risks.
  • Transaction Monitoring: Continuously monitor client transactions for suspicious activities. Report any suspicious transactions as required by regulatory guidelines.
  • Open and process accounts, perform account maintenance while adhering to the banks current policies and procedures, to include AML/BSA requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements.
  • Ensure timely response to BSA on all inquiries and exceptions.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
  • Responsible for reviewing and adhering to Global Banking and Banks operational procedures and controls while communicating updates to associates. Follows up on all audit deficiencies.
  • Follow instructions and responds to management direction to help resolve more difficult customer objections and solves problems in a timely and positive manner to retain the customer relationship.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business or related field preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP),
  • 5+ years in relationship banking high-net-worth individuals and/or business market required.
  • 5+ years of experience with bank products and services for international banking clients (e.g., deposits, cash management, international, etc.) required.
  • Measurable track record of successfully selling to ultra-high net worth and/or high net worth clients with international exposure.
  • Proven track record in managing a large book of business and meeting sales targets.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish required Portuguese preferred
