Job description

Location: Asheville Campus

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/weekly

This position reports to: Upstate Regional Campus Pastor

The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow their Faith, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference. Our church has 15 campuses across South and North Carolina, as well as an Online Campus that stretches across every continent. Each of these campuses are led by a Campus Pastor that breathes the Seacoast DNA into overall operations and connects to the people that make up Seacoast Church.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring Inspiration from the Vision of Seacoast

    • Under the vision of the Lead Pastor and support from the Executive Pastor of Campus Support, create the Seacoast Experience at your local campus

    • Responsible for growing attendance strategically and purposefully create a system of effective follow up

  • The Weekend Experience:

    • Pastor the local congregation and ensuring the Seacoast vision is maintained during services while adhering to the Seacoast Service Flow

    • Oversee Sunday services from start to finish including hospitality needs, set up/tear down where needed, walking campus grounds and facilities to make sure everything is in order and ready for each our guests

    • Prepare open/close statements and anything needed for special events like child dedications, graduations or baptisms

    • Connect with Seacoasters by walking the campus 30 minutes before and after each service(s) to openly thank your volunteers, staff and congregation to set the example for connecting people to the church

  • Team Leader: Equip the saints to do the work of the ministry

    • Identify, recruit, and develop key ministry leaders in the following areas: Worship, Childrens ministry, Student ministry, Small Group ministry, and other areas as growth permits

    • Lead a weekly staff meeting, send out agenda before meeting and ensure minutes are recorded and distributed post meeting.

    • Connect one-on-one with staff members and department leaders to encourage and support, review goals and expectations

  • Seacoast Team Member

    • Participate in weekly Monday Morning Quarterback meetings to discuss the previous weekend, talk about upcoming events, and collaborate with other campuses on needs that may arise

    • Lead alongside the other Campus Pastors in Quarterly Regional Campus Meeting

    • Actively Participate in monthly All-Staff and 1:1 meetings with Leader

  • Connecting with Seacoasters

    • Respond to all ministry platform contacts to which you are assigned within 48 hours and weekly follow up to ensure a connection was made

    • Spend time with newcomers, attenders, and key leaders to understand how we can best serve

    • Monitor the giving threshold of our members by regularly checking Ministry Platform, and sending personalized letters/cards to new givers thanking them for their contributions

    • Manage/Update website and social media accounts to ensure all events, small group offerings, and serve/volunteer/dream team opportunities are up to date and regularly posting to Campus Facebook and providing quick responses when questions are posted

  • Manager Duties

    • Ensure weekly offerings have been processed

    • Review weekly attendance

    • Monitor budget, check and approve Intacct invoices, reconcile/approve monthly credit card statements

  • Pastoral Duties

    • Counsel members through major life changes; crisis, death, tragedy, marriage, pre-marital, etc.

    • Perform hospital and home visits to the sick

    • Conduct weddings and funerals, baby dedications, baptisms, etc.

Job Essentials:

  • Christ Follower (As a religious organization, Seacoast Church makes hiring decisions that are aligned to our faith and beliefs)

  • Good standing as a licensed or ordained Pastor

  • At least 3 years experience as a Pastor or other Church Leadership role

  • A calling to genuinely care and love people and their continued spiritual growth

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial work ethic that leads from the 2nd chair

  • Making spiritual health a priority; taking a Sabbath every week, lead and participate in a small group, attend an entire service weekly, ongoing talks with mentor or pastor, read the Word and do whatever else helps you connect with God, and serve in your community

  • Excellent public communicator with the ability to develop leaders, delegate, and achieve results

  • Live and drive Seacoast cultural values to Love God. Love People. Make it Better. And Have a Good Attitude
