Job description

Swope Health is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven OB/GYN Physician to be a part of its mission to provide the highest quality care to the patients who need it the most. Our OB/GYN Physician examines diagnoses and treat pregnant women including delivery, and treats diseases of the female reproductive organs. You will collaborate in the medical management of patients, and serve as a consultant, liaison to improve patient care and health. You will work with support personnel who collaborate to assist expectant mothers and their families throughout the pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods. . You play a vital role for the patient centered medical team to provide quality, patient centered care.


In your role you will:

  • Treats women during prenatal, natal and postnatal periods.
  • Examines patient to ascertain condition, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results and patients’ statements as diagnostic aid.
  • Delivers or makes arrangements for delivery and cares for the mother for prescribed period of time following childbirth.
  • Determines need for modified diet and physical activities and recommends plan.
  • Offers preventive care services including well woman exams, breast cancer screening, cervical cancer screening, colon cancer screening and other screening exams and tools.
  • Offers comprehensive family planning including LARCs
  • Provides Gynecological care for conditions such as contraception, menstrual irregularities, uterine disorders, vulvovaginal disorders.
  • Periodically examines patient, prescribing medication or surgery, if indicated.
  • Diagnoses and treats diseases of the female generative organs.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy licensed in the State of Missouri and Kansas
  • Demonstrated professional competence and ethical conduct of practice.
  • Successful completion of an accredited three years primary care (Internal Medicine/Family Medicine)  residency.
  • Board certification or eligibility.
