Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook at our vibrant Seabird Resort, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that delight our guests and uphold our commitment to exceptional dining experiences. Your culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our restaurant operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in a lively hospitality setting while honing your culinary talents. We have multiple food and beverage outlets, you may be assigned to: The Shelter Club, Piper, Colleague Cafeteria or Banquets.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.50/hour - $25.00/hour.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas following food safety sanitizing procedures
  • Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely meal service during high-volume periods
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper food safety management and hygiene practices are maintained at all times
  • Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and assisting with meal preparation accordingly
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional guest service during catering or special events
