I2X Technologies is seeking a Java Team Lead:

Job Description: Java Team Lead (TS/SCI with CI Poly)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java Team Lead to lead a technical team in delivering high-quality software solutions. This role combines strong technical expertise with Agile leadership responsibilities, including PI Planning and Scrum execution. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers on daily tasks and technical direction
  • Facilitate PI Planning, Sprint Planning, and other Scrum ceremonies
  • Break down features into tasks, assign work, and track progress
  • Design, develop, and review complex Java-based applications and services
  • Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams to deliver on commitments
  • Remove technical and process blockers for the team
  • Provide technical guidance and support career growth for team members
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java
  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Team Lead
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including PI Planning and Scrum
  • Strong knowledge of task decomposition, sprint planning, and team coordination
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly (required)
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and modern development practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred to Have:

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of microservices, Spring Boot, or related Java frameworks
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Prior experience in government or clear environments
