Scrum Master

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Atlanta, GA

Position Description

This position is located at the client site in Atlanta, GA.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for regulatory reporting initiatives.

  • Partner with Product Owners, Regulatory Reporting teams, Finance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to prioritize work and align sprint objectives with regulatory reporting deadlines.

  • Coordinate delivery of enhancements supporting financial and regulatory reporting, including Call Reports, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14, CECL, Basel, liquidity, capital, and other regulatory reporting requirements, as applicable.

  • Manage cross-functional dependencies across data, reporting, finance, risk, compliance, and technology teams to support the timely delivery of regulatory reporting capabilities.

  • Remove delivery impediments and proactively resolve issues impacting sprint commitments, reporting schedules, and regulatory milestones.

  • Track sprint progress, team velocity, release readiness, and key delivery metrics while providing transparent status reporting to program leadership.

  • Coordinate backlog management, release planning, and production implementation activities supporting regulatory reporting enhancements and defect remediation.

  • Support the delivery of data integration, reporting, reconciliation, and controls initiatives required to improve regulatory reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, development teams, quality engineering, data engineering, and regulatory reporting subject-matter experts.

  • Monitor project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating potential impacts to regulatory reporting schedules or compliance obligations.

  • Promote Agile best practices, continuous improvement, and servant leadership while ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and delivery standards.

  • Support audit readiness by coordinating documentation, sprint artifacts, traceability, and evidence required for internal audits and regulatory examinations.

  • Ensure delivery activities align with internal controls, SOX requirements, enterprise governance standards, and applicable financial services regulatory reporting obligations.

  • Coordinate post-release reviews, production support activities, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance reporting quality, stability, and delivery performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Scrum Master or Agile delivery experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives.

  • 5+ years of banking experience.

  • 5+ years of experience delivering data engagements.

  • Experience leading Agile teams within financial services or banking environments.

  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations.

  • Strong understanding of project planning, sprint management, backlog grooming, and dependency management.

  • Experience using Agile management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, finance, risk, or compliance initiatives.

  • Knowledge of banking regulatory reporting processes, including FR Y-9C, Call Reports, CCAR, CECL, and Basel.

  • Experience supporting large-scale banking conversions or transformation programs.

  • Scrum Master certification, such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.

  • Experience working with distributed and offshore Agile delivery teams.
