Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile teams through Teradata decommissioning and cloud modernization initiatives. This role requires agile expertise, technical understanding, and change management skills to facilitate migration from legacy Teradata to modern cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews)
  • Remove impediments and coach teams on agile principles and self-organization
  • Coordinate Teradata-to-cloud migration activities (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Manage dependencies between decommissioning activities and downstream systems
  • Serve as liaison between development teams and business stakeholders
  • Track and communicate team velocity, sprint metrics, and project progress
  • Identify process improvements and implement agile best practices
  • Support risk identification and mitigation for legacy system retirement

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach
  • 3+ years on cloud migration/modernization projects
  • Experience with data warehouse decommissioning or legacy system migrations

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of Teradata, data warehousing, and SQL
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native data services
  • Knowledge of modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift)
