Script Coverage Interns are entry-level professionals in the film, television, or literary industries who read scripts and provide detailed reports called 'coverage.' These reports typically summarize the script, analyze key elements like plot, character, and dialogue, and assess the script’s strengths and weaknesses. The feedback helps producers, agents, or executives decide whether to pursue a project further. Interns gain valuable industry experience and insight into the script evaluation process. This role is ideal for those interested in screenwriting, development, or production.

Balancing speed with thoroughness is key, as is adapting to different genres and styles. Developing a consistent coverage template and seeking feedback from supervisors can help interns improve their evaluations and time management. Collaboration with other interns and staff can also provide valuable perspectives and support, making the learning curve more manageable.
