Regional Election Sales Representative


Company Overview:

Printelect is a dynamic and well-established regional election equipment sales & service company with a proven track record in ballot printing, mail services, and a diverse portfolio of election products. With over fifty employees and one hundred years of industry-leading experience, we take pride in our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing opportunities and relationships with both new and existing customers in a specified territory within our geographic growth plan. The primary focus will be on cultivating customer relations and facilitating sales of our products within the elections industry, including voting tabulation equipment, ballot printing, Vote-By-Mail services, election products offerings, and providing jurisdiction-level election support to our customers. This role will require strong interpersonal communication skills needed to promote our comprehensive range of elections products and services.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base compensation for this position is set at $65,000.00 per year. This is a salaried, exempt position. This position’s salary will be commensurate with level of demonstrated experience.
  • This position is eligible to participate in the company’s earned commission structure in addition to the provided base compensation. The commission rate is based on corresponding products or services sold. The commission rate structure will be disclosed prior to an acceptance of the position.
  • Business expenses and mileage incurred while traveling on behalf of Printelect will be compensated.
  • Health insurance, dental insurance, short-term disability benefits, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and paid time off (“PTO”) benefits are offered to all employees after the applicable probationary period.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-year degree in business sales/related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the elections industry.
  • Familiarity with and general understanding of with election tabulation equipment, election ballots, and election products (voting booths, election bags, signs, etc.)
  • Experience in jurisdiction-level election support or departmental roles is not required but highly desirable.
  • Ability to effectively manage and expand a client portfolio.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • This position will be remote and based in North Carolina, Virginia, or South Carolina. Territory assignment will be discussed during the screening and interview process.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time per year within the role’s specified territory.

Territory Assignment:

  • The specific territory for this role will be determined based on existing relationships and the candidate's location. We believe that leveraging your established connections and local knowledge will contribute significantly to your success in this position.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand, sit, or bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds.
  • Occasionally required to help with order fulfillment.
  • Must be able to operate a non-commercial (“standard”) motor vehicle for this position’s travel responsibilities.
