As a Scrap Coordinator, you will coordinate all scrap vehicles at Milford Proving Grounds and manage all dismantled and out-of-state crush vehicles for CVO (Company Vehicle Operations) vehicle recovery.Â
Scrap Coordinator Responsibilities include:Â
- Submit vehicle moves for incoming scrap.Â
- Maintain various spreadsheets for scrap and VRP (Vehicle Recovery Program).Â
- Create physical files for vehicles.Â
- Update vehicle status and location in the company vehicles management system.Â
- Supply technicians with work priority.Â
- Create monthly crush list and coordinator vehicle crush.Â
- Assign pricing categories based on contracts to dismantle vehicles.Â
- Create a bill of sale and send it to the dismantler.Â
- Obtain titles for vehicles and apply for scrap titles.Â
- Create affidavits for crushed vehicles. Â
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.Â
Scrap Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:Â Â
- Must have a valid driver’s license.Â
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles at Milford Proving Grounds.Â
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.Â
- Must be customer service oriented.Â
- Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.Â
- Must be a self-starter.Â
- Must be a reliable team player.Â
- 1-year customer service experience preferred.Â
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications preferred.Â
Scrap Coordinator Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:Â
- This is an office position that requires minimal walking, standing, and lifting. Applicants must be okay with sitting for extended periods.Â
