What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Ensure proper implementation/documentation inย testingย software, functions, and diagnostics, and guided faultย findingย on the shop floor.ย ย 
  • Participateย in the software qualification processย throughout theย product developmentย phase.ย 
  • Driveย the resolution ofย productย problemsย andย countermeasuresย throughย pre-series and series production to stabilize software quality.ย 
  • Analyzeย commissioning, functional, and diagnostic errors and developย immediate measures to address them,ย monitoringย theirย effectiveness.ย 
  • Participateย in coaching and qualification sessions for production employees,ย with a focusย onย systemย architecture, function, and analysis.ย 
  • Support withย reporting, evaluations, and key figures,ย emphasizingย error evaluations from databases.ย ย 
  • Develop and implement methods and systems to ensure theย software, functions, and diagnosticsย maturity andย qualityย incorporatingย assurance processes and protocols.ย 
  • Collaborateย in cross-functional teams toย identifyย immediate and long-term measuresย forย improvingย quality and efficiency across the organization.ย 
  • Document andย interpretย analysis results within a larger context, drawingย general conclusions, andย identifyingย actionable insights toย enhanceย processes and systems.ย

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location inย Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.ย 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, mechanical, electrical, software engineering orย relatedย field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.ย 
  • Strong understanding of vehicle engineering and manufacturing processes.ย 
  • Knowledgeย in advanced programmingย languages such asย C++, C#, Java or similarย preferredย ย 
  • Strong skillsย inย organizational navigation,ย communication,ย and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; adept atย developingย effective partnerships and relationships.ย ย 
  • Proficient in analytical and conceptual thinking, employingย logic andย reasonย in bothย creative andย strategicย contexts.ย 
  • Demonstratedย ability in creative and strategicย problem-solving,ย with experienceย troubleshooting vehicleย systems.ย

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00
