Job description

OCI Strategic Customer Engineering is seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager with technical interests to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that drive strategic outcomes across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure which span highly technical and business-centric delivery. This role is ideal for an accomplished program leader who thrives in highly technical environments, excels at navigating ambiguity, and has a proven ability to deliver complex programs from inception through execution.


You are a results-oriented leader who drives execution-not just coordination. You possess strong judgment, exceptional ownership, and a bias for action. You dig deep to master a space and understand it full. You build trusted partnerships across engineering, product management, operations, customer success, and executive leadership to align teams around common objectives and deliver meaningful business and customer outcomes.
As a Principal Program Manager, you will lead programs that span multiple OCI organizations, helping teams prioritize, execute, and deliver initiatives that improve operational excellence, customer success, and strategic business objectives. The work is highly visible, fast-paced, and requires balancing technical complexity with operational and business complexity with organizational alignment.
Basic Qualifications
 

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field

  • 7+ years of experience in Program Management, Software Engineering, Product Management, or related technical leadership roles

  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs across multiple engineering organizations

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, distributed systems, and software development lifecycles

  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution in complex, fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience developing program plans, tracking execution, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership

  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus across diverse organizations

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to balance technical priorities and business objectives


Preferred Qualifications
 
  • MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management or engineering leadership

  • Experience working with cloud-native architectures and large-scale distributed systems
