Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Health & Performance department to ensure exceptional guest experiences and seamless program delivery.
  • Manage the Vitality Recovery Suite team, including hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance management, and payroll administration.
  • Oversee provider schedules, workshops, lectures, and presentations to maximize operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Own and manage the Health & Performance programming calendar, coordinating retreats, educational programming, workshops, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
  • Collaborate with providers and cross-functional teams to coordinate room assignments, technology needs, and event logistics for on-property programming.
  • Drive operational excellence by evaluating workflows, implementing process improvements, and maintaining departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Support departmental budgeting, inventory management, purchasing, and operational reporting to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Partner with Facilities, Engineering, IT, Revenue Management, Reservations, Accounting, Programming, and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as the Health & Performance Manager on Duty as needed, responding to guest requests, resolving concerns, and ensuring an exceptional Canyon Ranch experience.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-focused culture while supporting the continued growth and innovation of Health & Performance programs.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 2-3 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, hospitality, wellness, or a multidisciplinary service environment.
  • Experience coordinating events, programs, meetings, retreats, or other guest-facing experiences, including logistics, scheduling, communications, and day-of execution. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams, vendors, schedules, and operational details to ensure successful events, day-to-day operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting or improving operational processes, workflows, and event procedures.
  • Basic financial acumen, including experience working within budgets, tracking expenses, managing supplies or inventory, and supporting operational reporting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented and guest-first mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling, event management, or other operational systems.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and event needs.
  • Passion for health, wellness, hospitality, and creating meaningful guest experiences aligned with the Canyon Ranch philosophy.
