All summer programs are subject to staffing adjustments based on student enrollment.

Date of Availability: June and July 2026 plus additional days/hours during second semester for planning, hiring, program development, communication, data collection, and record keeping (grades, attendance, etc.)

Job Title: Summer School - Summer School Facilitator

Reports to: Summer School Administrator

Location: Proviso East High School/Proviso West High School
Compensation: $8,000 program stipend (both sessions) 
Description: Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking Summer School - Summer School Facilitators to serve as the building lead for Summer School 2026 for both sessions as well as additional dates outlined by the Summer School Administrator.



The Summer School Facilitators must have a Professional Educator License (PEL).  They must attend professional development prior to the first summer session and commit to both sessions.
Summer School Dates:

Session 1
Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 25, 2026 
Session 2 
Monday, June 29 through Thursday, July 16, 2026


Schedule:
Classes meet Monday through Thursday. No class on Fridays.
Session goes from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Teachers report from 8:45 am to 2:15 pm  
Professionally Related Competencies 
    Perform promptly the responsibilities stipulated in Board of Education policies and administrative procedures 
    Attend each day of the program. Absences, for any reason, will result in a reduced stipend payment. 
    Model and enforce classroom and school rules, policies, and procedures 
    Be punctual in arrival times to the building and to class 
    Cooperate with other educational personnel 
    Report promptly student behavior, attendance, and performance to family or guardians and when necessary, refer students to appropriate school personnel; stay in regular communications with parents.
