School Nutrition Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and serving of meals in school cafeterias. They ensure that meals meet federal and state nutrition guidelines, manage staff, handle inventory and budgeting, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation. Additionally, School Nutrition Managers often coordinate with school administrators and parents to address dietary needs and promote healthy eating habits among students.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a school nutrition manager?

To thrive as a School Nutrition Manager, you need knowledge of food service management, nutrition standards, menu planning, and food safety regulations, usually supported by relevant experience or a degree in nutrition or food service.
