The Project Manager Existing Installations (EI) is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of all assigned elevator and escalator service operations while driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth. This role oversees the servicing, repair, and improvement of existing units in alignment with Schindler and customer standards, with a strong focus on safety, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.

In addition, the position cultivates and manages long-term customer relationships, identifying opportunities for maintenance, repair, and modernization sales. The role serves as the primary liaison between customers and Schindler, ensuring clear communication, high service levels, and proactive account management. Responsibilities also include employee selection, training, and safety oversight for assigned projects, as well as achieving sales targets through strategic account development and industry expertise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Quality, Safety & Compliance
   Ensure all maintenance and service activities meet company and area quality standards, contract requirements, and customer expectations for performance, reliability, and passenger safety.
   Manage ongoing project audits to verify compliance with quality, completeness, and safety standards.
   Maintain accurate customer records, documentation, and proposals in accordance with company procedures and established policies.
Customer Relationship & Account Management
   Build and maintain strong customer relationships within an assigned territory to secure, renew, and grow service agreements.
   Meet regularly with clients to understand their operational needs and develop tailored solutions that support their property requirements.
   Manage customer inquiries and ensure timely, satisfactory resolution with a focus on revenue generation and retention.
   Oversee accounts receivable for the assigned portfolio, ensuring accurate billing and timely payment collection.
   Maintain proactive, constructive relationships with the local IUEC business agent.
Sales, Strategy & Opportunity Development
   Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities through customer engagement and industry insights, securing profitable solutions that leverage company products and services.
   Introduce new technologies and related services to customers, clearly articulating their value and alignment with customer needs.
   Support sales staff by estimating service orders, scheduling and executing work, and assisting with customer issue resolution. 
   Negotiate contract terms that balance customer requirements with company objectives, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
   Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with internal product direction and competitive market conditions with minimal supervision.
Operational Leadership & Workforce Development
   Develop and implement programs for manpower planning, employee selection, training, and performance appraisal to support productivity and quality improvement goals.
   Implement route management strategies to ensure consistent preventive maintenance practices while optimizing manpower utilization.
   Foster teamwork, employee engagement, and a strong commitment to quality improvement across the workforce.
   Evaluate and recommend tooling investments that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
   Collaborate closely with the field technicians to drive lead generation and deliver a seamless customer experience from initiation through completion.

 
Mobility needs you

Requirements

   BS/AS degree preferred or ; 3-5 years relevant work experience 
   Prior supervisory experience preferred
   Solid problem solving and proven negotiating skills, high sense of urgency, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
   Proficient in building and managing client relationships. 
   Demonstrated ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork, with flexibility for local travel and managing customer interactions.  
   Effective presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office applications. 
   Excellent time management and organizational skills.
