Title: Scheduling Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH or Bellefontaine, OH

Job Type: Fulltime (Onsite)

What We Are Looking For:

The client is seeking a skilled and experienced Scheduling Engineer who will develop, manage, and maintain project schedules for multiple construction projects. This role collaborates with preconstruction managers, project executives, project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure that project timelines are realistic, achievable, and aligned with company objectives. The Scheduling Engineer plays a critical role in tracking project progress, identifying potential delays, and providing solutions to mitigate scheduling risks.

Position Summary:

Develop, update, and maintain high-level pursuit and bid submittal schedules, as well as detailed project schedules using Primavera P6

Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams to develop baseline and GMP schedules

Lead interactive planning sessions and schedule review meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Manage Primavera P6 enterprise project structure, archiving schedule layouts for consistency in deliverables

Perform schedule analysis, including "what-if" scenarios, impact assessments, and delay analyses

Provide training and mentorship on scheduling best practices to project managers and engineers

Support project teams with schedule updates, change integration, and recovery plans

Generate high-quality reports such as look-ahead schedules, critical path analyses, and earned value assessments

The Following Skills Are Necessary:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in construction scheduling with a General Contractor
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 and deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and sequencing
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, and schedule delay analysis
  • Bonus points for experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Director of Preconstruction
