Job description

The Staffing, Scheduling and Payroll Coordinator is responsible for coordination of nursing staff schedules for all patient care areas in collaboration with Manager, Nursing Operations, Nurse Managers, Nursing Supervisors and Vice President, Nursing/Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The Coordinator generates and publishes six (6) week service-line schedules with Manager, Nursing Operations. Working collaboratively with Nurse Managers and Nursing Supervisors, the Coordinator solicits, assigns and approves staff to fill gaps in the schedule, coordinates external agency and PRN/per diem assignments, manages call outs and flexes staff to align with patient census, acuity and staffing requirements. The Coordinator manages approved staff paid time off (PTO) and prime vacation requests to assure appropriate staff coverage. The Coordinator prepares payroll reports for the Nurse Managers and/or CNO approval. To monitor and improve nursing staffing performance, the Coordinator produces and distributes standardized staffing reports and maintains the Paycom scheduling system. The Coordinator’s role is integral to the team effort to optimize nurse staffing across the organization.


Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years working in acute care and/or behavioral health setting.

• Previous experience working with scheduling, payroll and other computer systems.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.

• Associate Degree required.

• Bachelor Degree preferred
