Job description

Job Title: Planning & Scheduling Analyst
Job Description
This role serves as a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst supporting a program scheduling department on a high-visibility aerospace initiative. You will develop and maintain integrated master plans and integrated master schedules, ensuring that all program objectives are achievable, measurable, and clearly communicated. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the use of advanced scheduling and project management techniques to track progress, manage risk, and drive on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to align with all program objectives.
  • Ensure that major project and program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated across functional groups, including finance, engineering, materials, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Track plans and schedules to monitor progress, identify issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and identify critical path and network logic conflicts within the schedule.
  • Resolve critical path and network logic conflicts to maintain realistic and achievable program timelines.
  • Utilize Gantt charts, PERT charts, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and performance.
  • Identify schedule and performance variances and highlight critical areas that require management focus and intervention.
  • Create clear and compelling visuals that represent the program plan and schedule for stakeholders.
  • Apply Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and Earned Value Management principles within scheduling software to support project and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, planning, and scheduling stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely schedule inputs and updates.
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in program planning and scheduling within a complex, multi-functional environment.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and Earned Value Management Systems and how they interact within scheduling software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP or INDEX MATCH, and macros.
  • Ability to use project management techniques such as Gantt charts, PERT charts, milestone charts, and earned value management to monitor and report progress.
  • Experience in roles such as supply chain analyst, planning analyst, or scheduling analyst, or similar analytical scheduling positions.
  • Ability to track plans and schedules, perform risk analysis, and identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in schedule development and maintenance.
  • Ability to create clear, informative visuals that communicate the program plan and schedule to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software, preferably 3 or more years.
  • Experience working in a supply chain, planning, or scheduling function within an engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace environment.
  • Familiarity with integrated master planning and integrated master scheduling concepts.
  • Strong project management mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, engineering, materials, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in Promontory, Utah, operating on a 9/80 work schedule, which typically provides a compressed workweek with every other Friday off. You will work in a structured, project-driven environment closely aligned with engineering, manufacturing, and other functional teams supporting a major aerospace program. The role involves extensive use of scheduling software, advanced Microsoft Excel, and standard project management tools to build and maintain integrated schedules and program visuals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
