We are looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our NC team. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for supporting the developing and maintaining production schedules for both House-Autry manufacturing locations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently while optimizing inventory levels, production capacity, and resource utilization. This position serves as a key link between Production, Inventory Control, Procurement, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and finished goods while adhering to food safety, allergen control, and sanitation requirements.

  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES INCUMBENT TO BE ONSITE and BE ABLE TO WORK IN OUR PRODUCTION AREA WHEN NEEDED

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules for both manufacturing locations.
  • Run and analyze negative inventory reports to identify inventory shortages, discrepancies, and production requirements.
  • Analyze sales orders, forecasts, and inventory levels to determine production needs and priorities.
  • Coordinate with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Management teams to ensure schedules align with customer demand and operational capabilities.
  • Monitor finished goods and raw material inventory levels and recommend production adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support business objectives while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Place or recommend appropriate orders for ingredients and materials to support production schedules.
  • Monitor bulk ingredient levels in silos and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent production interruptions.
  • Evaluate production capacity, labor availability, equipment constraints, and changeover requirements when developing schedules.
  • Maintain awareness of allergen controls, product contamination risks, sanitation requirements, and system cleanout needs when planning production runs.
  • Schedule products strategically to minimize allergen changeovers and maximize production efficiency.
  • Communicate schedule changes promptly and effectively to affected departments.
  • Monitor production performance and make schedule adjustments as necessary to address inventory shortages, customer demands, equipment issues, or unexpected disruptions.
  • Prepare and distribute production reports, inventory analyses, and scheduling metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management, scheduling efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and forecasting principles.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, allergen management, sanitation requirements, and production sequencing preferred.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret inventory reports, production data, and sales demand information.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound business judgment.
