Job description

Summary and Objective
The Scheduling Manager is responsible for facilitating a delivery plan across the fleet while taking ownership of all components impacting productivity. The Scheduling Manager will regularly determine the best approach to resolving issues in collaboration with cross functional team members. The ideal Scheduling Manager will be a highly energetic motivator with excellent communication skills, who is highly organized and adept at multi-tasking. They will take pride in their problem-solving ability and capacity to positively influence business.
Essential functions

Maintenance
  • Elevated level of focus on aircraft availability / up time
  • Coordination with MX planning team for optimal scheduling of inspections
  • Metering of planned down time, smoothing the curve
  • Coordinate planned downtime with the demand cycle
  • Triage and facilitate optimal response to AOGs best course of action (COA) recommendation
  • Consolidation of planned with unplanned events
  • Preventative maintenance best ROI
  • Best use of resources (MSU, etc)
  • TLC and appearance tracking and facilitation
  • Ensure FC and crews are able to access accurate future MX projections

Crewing
  • High level of focus on crew availability and staffing of green aircraft. With improved RTS forecasting, ensure crews are positioned for RTSing aircraft.
  • Work with crew scheduling to secure desired staffing levels
  • Coordination of crew events with mx events to minimize impact on fleet readiness
  • Work with DO to update and utilize Argus/Wyvern/WUP qualification impacting tasking flexibility

Flight control (operations)
  • Maintain a high level of communication between stakeholders, team members, leadership, etc.
  • Support the operations team to ensure that the right information is getting to the right people
  • Facilitate the cross functional decision process making needed to effect optimal operations.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Always be thinking about downstream impacts of whats happening now
  • Ensure trip sheets are issued in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure optimization of trips executed on fleet aircraft

Customer services/Sales
  • Understand the clients needs
  • Support the client services team by ensuring these client needs are communicated downstream
  • Highlight VIP and other special requirements
  • Facilitate cross functional communications during IROPs
  • Support sales/services with addition of ASAP trips.
  • Communicate availability to the sales team

Commercial considerations
  • Deliver strong utilization and loaded efficiency
  • Moving aircraft from high-cost airports
  • Identify and eliminate waste

Flight Scheduling
  • Design flight schedule based on demand, available aircraft, crew availability and operational requirements
  • Recover flights during IROP's
  • Coordinate with crew logistics and schedulers for crew duty times

Required education and experience
