Volt is immediately hiring a Distribution Associate in Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
As a Distribution Associate you will be responsible for:
Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Distribution Associate to support our warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, and material handling. This role requires experience with RF scanners, warehouse equipment, and safety protocols in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking (RF Scanner)
  • Pick and process customer orders accurately using an RF scanner (RF gun).
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and within deadlines.
  • Perform basic computer operations for order tracking and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a productive and cooperative work environment, including high-demand periods.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping and warehouse organization standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Order Packing & Material Handling
  • Pack orders according to customer specifications, including:
  • Special markings or labeling
  • Custom stacking requirements
  • Use of specialized pallets or packaging
  • Retrieve, transport, and stage materials according to daily production and shipping schedules.
  • Ensure all shipments meet quality and safety standards prior to dispatch.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
  • Certified or trained in operating warehouse equipment, including:
  • Forklifts
  • Standing crown pick trucks
  • Turret trucks
  • Pallet jacks
  • Reach trucks
  • Willingness and ability to work at heights up to 20 feet while using fall protection equipment.
  • Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Comfortable working on concrete flooring in a warehouse environment.

This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.

Shift time: 2nd Shift
Pay range: $15.00/hr. to $17.00/hr.
