Job description

Aptara is looking for dependable and detail-oriented Scanner Technicians to join our team for a fast-paced, short-term project. In this role, you will be responsible for converting physical documents into digital formats while ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper organization of files. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working with scanning equipment and computer systems.

This position would be the perfect summer job. We encourage college students to apply!


What You Will Do

  • Efficiently operate document scanning equipment to digitize records.
  • Prepare materials for scanning (cut, remove staples, sort, and organize)
  • Review scanned files to ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy
  • Perform quality control checks and re-scan documents when necessary
  • Organize and index digital files according to company procedures
  • Maintain and clean scanning equipment
  • Perform basic equipment care and report any issues
  • Follow company policies related to data security and confidentiality
  • Meet daily production goals and deadlines in a team-oriented environment
  • Consult with the Head of Scanning daily on goals and progress

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • High school graduate/GED or current college student
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a summer schedule
  • Basic computer skills (file management, data entry, software use)
  • Experience with imaging software (Adobe Photoshop or similar product)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks with consistency

Work Environment
