RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate various types of machinery to produce a high-volume quality part
  • To perform duties involved in producing parts on a large or small scale through work cells, assembly line, or operating solely as an individual.
  • Must be knowledgeable in different operations involved.
  • Maintain accurate counts and produce at required production rate.
  • Ability to make minor adjustments to machines.
  • Once a machine is set up, operator checks quality of parts for conformance to specifications of quality assurance.
  • Report needed maintenance.
  • Must know safety procedures of machines and equipment and how to perform safety checks.
  • Must be able to keep accurate records (time card/set-up card).
  • Good housekeeping.
  1. Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds on a regular basis
  2. Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.
  3. All employees will abide by their location's EH&S policy endorsed by the local management, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established under its EHSMS, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard. An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
  4. Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
  5. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above and below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to operate various types of machines/presses, etc. Normal dexterity required. Must be able to run the equipment in a safe manner and meet the physical requirements of the position and work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment like conveyor belts, presses, fork trucks and overhead cranes. May be exposed to potential lost-time accidents as related to factory/manufacturing environment.
