Scalabrini caregivers typically work in assisted living or community settings with a focus on supporting elderly or vulnerable populations, often with similar certifications as general caregivers. While both roles involve providing personal care, Scalabrini roles may emphasize community and social support within specific organizations, whereas caregivers often work directly in private homes or healthcare facilities.

Staff at the Scalabrini Centre often work closely with migrants and refugees, providing support through social services, advocacy, and education programs. A typical week may involve case management, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with other NGOs or local authorities. One common challenge is addressing the complex and evolving needs of clients in a resource-limited environment, which requires adaptability and strong interpersonal skills. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, offering meaningful opportunities for professional growth and direct impact in the community.
