We are seeking a Marketing "Care & Beauty" Category Manager who will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability for this category by developing and executing strategies for merchandising, promotions, and marketing. Their core responsibilities will also encompass market and consumer research to identify trends, manage promotional activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and analyze performance data to inform future strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies to achieve sales and margin goals, working with merchandising, marketing, and product development teams.

  • Market Research:

Conduct thorough research on the beauty market, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats.

  • Product Portfolio Management:

Oversee a specific portfolio of beauty products, ensuring offerings meet market demands and align with brand objectives.

  • Marketing Execution:

Drive marketing initiatives, including advertising, promotions, and communication development, to support the category's performance.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with various internal teams, such as design, product development, supply chain, and commercial, to align strategies and execute plans.

  • Data Analysis:

Analyze sales data, market insights, and performance indicators to assess what is working and what is not, then recommend adjustments to strategies.

  • New Product Development (NPD):

Lead consumer studies, contribute to the conceptualization of new products or extensions, and oversee the go-to-market execution for new launches.

  • Online Merchandising:

Manage online category efforts, including product categorization, cross-selling, upselling, and selecting featured products for enhanced customer experience and sales.


Essential Skills:

  • Proven track record in marketing related to "Care & Beauty" and similar categories at reputable retail/ecommerce/quick-commerce establishment in KSA/GULF region
  • Solid understanding of ecommerce/quick commerce and the structure of website/app essential properties such as the home screen, category screen, brand screen, product screen and deploy merchandising/marketing tactics and strategies to boost their CVR
  • Ability to drive new initiatives and implement new ideas quickly and with minimum support
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Expertise in MS Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and achieve financial goals.
  • Understanding of merchandising, buying, and inventory management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Min of 5 years experience in relevant Beauty/Care/Cosmetics (Retail or MarketPlace ecommerce/quick commerce)
  • Strong negotiation skills.
