Job description

The Central, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) Treasury Services (TS) Team forms part of the Global TS Product team, partnering with global and regional stakeholders to execute on product strategy, development and commercialization of the end to end TS solutions that J.P. Morgan delivers to all clients across its booking locations locally within CEEMEA.

As a Market and Product Expansion Director in Treasury Services and Payments, you serve as the subject matter expert on market requirements and are the point of contact for regulators. You will shape and execute the firm's strategy, develop product capabilities, and expand our footprint in Saudi Arabia. You bring an extensive understanding of the regulatory landscape in different regions and markets to help ensure our products launch and are adopted successfully. This role requires close collaboration with global and regional stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Service, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Legal.

You will also serve as Head of Payments, Saudi Arabia, driving the Payments business strategy and acting as the single point of contact for Payments for both the branch and global stakeholders. In partnership with senior colleagues, you will interface directly with the regulator to support business objectives and work closely across functions to deliver on strategic goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design product operational activities to fit the market and adapt collateral, sales training, pricing, and request for proposal (RFP) materials to resonate with target segments and local requirements.
  • Lead Treasury Services product strategy by leveraging deep knowledge of the KSA payment landscape and client needs.
  • Grow our market, bring opportunities to the Product Management team, advocate for expansion, provide input into business cases, and meet business targets.
  • Develop compelling business cases through detailed market and revenue analysis, proposing effective solutions.
  • Formulate and execute strategies in partnership with Global and Regional Product and Sales Executives, covering Core Cash, Liquidity, Access, FX, and more.
  • Maintain an open relationship with market regulators and supervisors, providing insights into regulatory dialogue and developments across the market.
  • Partner closely with Product teams to ensure adherence to local regulations, controls frameworks, and governance approval processes.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Technology, Implementations, and other relevant teams to identify, develop, and launch products.
  • Oversee daily operations, maintaining robust sales and risk management discipline (including KYC, financial crime, and reputational risk).
  • Drive commercialization and communication plans for new solutions, expanding market footprint and revenue.
  • Represent Payments at internal management forums, external industry events, and regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proven experience or equivalent expertise in Product, Technology, or Project Management, ideally across multiple disciplines (e.g., Sales, Client Management, Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Finance).
  • Advanced level knowledge of risk management and controls, regional and local nuances, and governance requirements.
  • Strong business understanding of Saudi Arabia and the broader CEEMEA region.
  • Extensive experience in the payments industry, including building and delivering payment or growth strategies for financial institutions, and a deep understanding of payments and treasury services products.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for market growth in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams while delivering value at scale.
  • Ability to quickly build strong partnerships, credibility, and influence with technology, functional partners, and senior management.
  • Strong leadership and experience in managing and motivating teams from diverse backgrounds and seniority.
  • Commercially minded individual with creative problem solving, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization and across various stakeholders.
  • Profit and loss management experience provides a deep understanding of the challenges within payments businesses across the region.
