MBS operates satellites, ground stations, and secure communications networks to ensure that armed forces, government agencies, and businesses remain reliably connected anytime and anywhere.

As an owner-managed, mid-sized company specializing in satellite communications and space technology, we employ around 300 people across our locations in Germany, France, and Poland. With our own ground infrastructure, including the largest teleport in Germany, we have been developing and operating highly reliable satellite and data network communication solutions for government and industrial customers for over 45 years.

Your Mission
  • Develop high-performance backend services and APIs using Clojure and the JVM ecosystem
  • Design software for mission-critical satellite ground segment applications handling large-scale data processing
  • Build internal tools for monitoring, automation and operations
  • Integrate external systems and services into our Mission Control platform
  • Collaborate with software engineers and satellite operations specialists to evolve our ground segment architecture
What You'll Bring to the Mission
  • Several years (5+) of professional experience in backend software development
  • Professional experience with Clojure or strong experience with JVM languages and a genuine interest in Clojure
  • Experience building distributed systems, APIs or data-intensive applications
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) on premise is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English and an interest in space technology
