Regular training in new materials and restoration methods can also help installers stay current with industry standards.

What are sash windows?

Sash windows are a type of window that consists of one or more movable panels, or 'sashes,' which slide vertically to open and close. Traditionally made from wood, sash windows are often found in older or period properties, valued for their classic appearance and ventilation control. Modern versions may use materials like uPVC or aluminum and can include features such as double glazing for improved energy efficiency. Sash windows are popular for both their aesthetic appeal and functionality, making them a common choice in window restoration and replacement projects.
