Job description

Davidson Sash & Door is seeking an experienced Commercial Window & Glazing Estimator to support our growing commercial renovation and exterior envelope division.

This role focuses on estimating commercial window replacement and glazing projects for universities, schools, healthcare facilities, and institutional clients throughout the region. Typical projects range from $200K–$2M+, along with smaller ongoing renovation work that provides a steady project pipeline.

We’re looking for someone who is confident reading plans, performing detailed takeoffs, managing bid opportunities, and collaborating with project teams from preconstruction through handoff.

This is a hands-on estimating role with a mix of office and field involvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare accurate estimates for commercial window replacement and glazing projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural drawings and specifications
  • Review project plans, bid documents, and scope requirements
  • Conduct occasional site visits and field measurements as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarification
  • Collaborate with project management and leadership on bid strategy and project execution
  • Utilize Bluebeam for digital takeoffs and estimating workflows
  • Help improve and standardize estimating systems and processes

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of commercial estimating experience
  • Experience with glazing, storefront, windows, curtainwall, exterior envelope, or commercial renovation projects strongly preferred
  • Ability to read architectural plans and specifications
  • Strong takeoff and bid preparation experience
  • Bluebeam experience required
  • Strong Excel and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments
