The Human Resource Analytics team at Citizens Bank leads the organization's understanding of workforce insights and organizational health. We  partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights that inform organizational design, talent strategy, and investment decisions.

In this role, you'll experience new things, create new opportunities, think beyond your role, and make an impact. As the Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst, you will collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance and business leaders, combining rigorous analytics with strong business judgment to influence workforce decisions. You will collect, organize, and prepare data for use in reporting, analytics, and workforce simulations; conduct workforce analyses and scenario modeling; and develop clear recommendations that help leaders understand trade offs, risks, and opportunities.

You will be responsible for leveraging technology and applying advanced analytical techniques and workforce planning methodologies to identify root causes, surface insights, and shape strategic solutions. You will act as a bridge between data, technology, and decision makers, ensuring analytics are both technically sound and business-relevant. Primary responsibilities include

  • Support and administer strategic workforce planning and workforce analytics initiatives, delivering forward -looking insights that inform workforce strategy, organizational design, and talent investment decisions.
  • Synthesize business goals and strategy with HR, productivity, and market data to assess workforce readiness and future headcount, skill and capacity needs.
  • Develop workforce simulations, organizational models, and scenario analyses related to structure, cost, capacity, skills, and productivity.
  • Apply appropriate techniques for analyses to workforce and workplace data, including exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis, blend use of traditional statistics methodologies with newer techniques from computational statistics and data mining.
  • Develop strategic analyses and recommendations for business customers using principles of data storytelling and visualization to present data in a compelling manner.
  • Design and develop recurring business intelligence dashboards and insights within workforce planning platforms to support HR, Finance, and Property decisionmaking; leverage SQL, WebFocus, Tableau, and Excel to operationalize scalable analytics across large, complex data sets.
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional partners and internal teams to deliver solutions in a timely fashion; manage stakeholder expectations and escalations; resolve issues; educate partners on the different tools and services available.
  • Address ad hoc reporting and analytics requests, with an eye toward addressing the underlying business challenge and opportunities to encourage self-service and optimize HR and enterprise processes.
  • Administer and manage workforce planning platforms, including user access, data management and governance, and vendor management.
  • Create clear requirements for technology enhancements and business processes.
  • Work closely with analytics professionals on strategic projects.

  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative problem-solving  skills
  • Demonstrated HR, business, and financial acumen
  • Strong experience analyzing and presenting insights from data to senior and non technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and business leaders.
  • Expertise solving complex quantitative problems using at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R/RStudio), with the aptitude to further develop technical skills
  • Proficient in querying language (e.g., SQL) and database management systems
  • Ability to manipulate, integrate, and analyze large, complex datasets (e.g., HR data, skills data, finance/budget data, labor market data). 
  • Proficiency with data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, WebFOCUS, Qlik, SAS Visual Analytics) and analytics tools (e.g., RStudio, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with workforce planning platforms and HR systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, Visier).
  • Excellent business judgment combined with the ability to communicate analysis clearly and compellingly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Demonstrated judgment and discretion when handling highly sensitive people and business data.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and documenting progress towards those deadlines
  • Proficiency in agile and design-thinking methods
  • Possesses a learning orientation, active exploratory mind, and interest to learn from others
  • Experience with AWS Cloud suite, Snowflake, Oracle HCM
     

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00
  • Hybrid, 4 days on site from a Citizens corporate office, 1 day remote

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $110,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
