SAP Global Delivery Hub – Center of Expertise North America Maintenance Optimization

The SAP Global Delivery Hub – Center of Expertise North America Maintenance Optimization (MO) team focuses on SAP’s top Max Success Plan customers, providing conceptual and architectural guidance throughout complex IT transformation initiatives.

As a Business Processes Consultant, you will work closely with SAP Product & Engineering and SAP Global Support Centers to support strategic customer initiatives. Business travel is an essential part of this role. Your responsibilities will include one or more of the following areas:


Transition Planning

  • Deliver SAP S/4HANA Migration Planning and Upgrade Planning services to define a comprehensive transition strategy for SAP Cloud ERP Products
  • Lead Business Downtime Minimization Strategy workshops, focusing on business continuity for both planned and unplanned events

Implementation Support

  • Lead project-based engagements for Max Success Plan customers with a focus on business downtime minimization
  • Deliver planning services to help customers define the optimal implementation strategy for SAP S/4HANA On-Premise, and SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition, and deployments on hyperscalers
  • Lead assessment services to identify potential critical issues and optimize processes during implementation and maintenance events across various SAP products
  • Lead go-live support during cutover and subsequent hypercare, ensuring a successful transition to SAP S/4HANA or other SAP product maintenance events

Summary & Role Requirements – Experiences

 

As a Business Processes Consultant, the following technical skills are expected:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the relevant fields described
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the relevant fields described
    • Experience interpreting SAP Readiness Check results and clearly explaining findings to customers
    • Thorough understanding of SAP S/4HANA conversion, including preparation and execution activities
    • HANA database sizing experience
    • Capacity planning and/or workload analysis expertise
    • Expertise in downtime minimization tools and technologies, including:
      • downtime-Optimized Conversion (doC) to SAP S/4HANA
      • Zero Downtime Option (ZDO) of Software Update Manager
      • Near-Zero Downtime Maintenance (nZDM) for ABAP/Java using Software Update Manager
      • System migrations and Unicode conversions using Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) and/or Software Update Manager (SUM)
      • Near-Zero Downtime Technology (NZDT)
    • Experience with or strong knowledge of NZDT methodology is an added advantage
    • Knowledge of Software Change Management and CI/CD concepts using gCTS is a plus
